چکیده

Sugarcane productivity included cane yield and sugar extracted rate (rendemen) fluctuated annually. The main causes of low sugarcane is quality planting material with no high (sugar rendemen) potential, resistance to pests diseases, stability production, tolerance climate changed early age harvest. For increasing the producing a superior competitiveness cost, vegetative propagation through in vitro culture technique via shoot tip was carried out. objective this research produce analyze costs required. out at Tissue Culture Laboratory, PT. Gunung Madu Plantations (GMP) March-May 2021. stages started from preparation explant source plants, sterilization explants tools, manufacture stock solutions media, subculture, analysis needed provide seeds. results showed that basal swelling explants, number shoots, root elongation, method providing seeds apical were relatively more competitive price plantlets per tube contained 10 clones costly Rp. 20,328, compared conventional methods. seedlings Rp 1,603/stem.

Tissue Culture Strategies in Sugarcane (saccharum Officinarum L.)

Sugarcane (Saccharum officinarum L.) has wide range of economic importance due to its major and by-products. Seed multiplication of newly released varieties of sugarcane is one of the major constraints. Once a desired clone is identified, it usually takes 6-7 years to produce sufficient quality of improved seed material. This long duration causes a major bottleneck in breeding programmes. For t...

Cloning, expression and characterization of sugarcane (Saccharum officinarum L.) transketolase.

Pentose phosphate pathway (PPP) composed of two functionally-connected phases, the oxidative and non-oxidative phase. Both phases catalysed by a series of enzymes. Transketolase is one of key enzymes of non-oxidative phase in which transfer two carbon units from fructose-6-phosphate to erythrose-4-phosphate and convert glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate to xylulose-5-phosphate. In plant, erythrose-4-ph...

In-vitro anticoccidial potential of Saccharum officinarum extract against Eimeria oocysts [Potencial in vitro anti coccidial de un extracto de Saccharum officinarum contra oocistos de Eimeria]

Present study was conducted to evaluate the effect of aqueous methanolic extract from Saccharum officinarum on the sporulation and morphology of oocysts of four Eimeria species (Eimeria tenella, E. necatrix, E. mitis, E. brunetti) of poultry. Sporulation inhibition bioassay was used to evaluate the activity of Saccharum officinarum extract (SOE) on the sporulation of coccidian oocysts. In this ...
